Alli. i5 -A vacation trip was marred for two Sydney residents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Moflatt, who are patients in the Aberdeen Hospital following an automobile accident at Suthcriands River. Mrs. Hilda Farrell. Sydney, was the driver of the car which. travelling along the paved highway on the Antigonish- New Glasgow route.faiied to make a dangerous turn and roiled over a steep embankment. Mr. Moffotl, a Sydney steel- workcr, accompanied by his wife, an route to Charlottetown for a holiday visit, was travelling by car ' to Caribou to make connections at the P.1d. l. ferry. Mrs. Mary Breaugh, also of Sydney. was the fourth occupant of the car. The lf..C.l\fP. investigated and Dr. Lewis M. Sprouii and the hos- pital ambulsnce were summoned to the scene of the accident, some ten miles frcn New Glasgow. Mrs. Farrell and Mrs. Moffatt were seriously injured, the former sutrering.a fractured right arm. head injuries multiple bruises and abrasions. Mrs. Moffattis injuries were a fractured pelvis and sev- ere bruises. Mr. Moifott received painful bruises and suffered from shock. . Mrs. Breaugh was not. injured in the accident and was taken to the Norfolk Hotel.
