Of course it flopped, and he’s embarrassed by it now. So why did he put out this one? I Pras : Ghetto Supastar (Ruffhouse -Sony) ' Everybody knows the tile track, so I don’t thik I have to talk about it. It’s a great song. If somebody can take Island in the stream by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and tun it into an insanely popular on - Julie Doiron at ominated and ECMA awarded 24 November 1998 don’t know. I think he feels pro- tected by the fact that this CD is supposed to be songs put out by his character form the movie MpeCousin Vinny Good disguise, Joe. Awig and a bad red and pink suit. Never would have recognized you. There’s a few humourous tracks, like Take your love and shove it. and groovy rap tune, you know they’ ve got talent. Pras’ talent is shown off on this CD, which is the third solo album by a Refugee camp member. It has some other solid tunes, like Whatcha Want to Do, which is also pretty good, and is Blue Angels which con- tains bits from Grease. Just — Baba’s Lounge, They’ re o.k. Not great though. He has a duet with Marisa Tomei called / can't give you anything but love. \t’s fair. He also does a rap (why?), and a song called Yo cousin vinny, which is done three tines in three different jazzy and lighter tunes. He Wrote some of them and they are actually not bad. In fact, they’re (gulp!) good. If he ever puts out another disc, it people who left well-wishing messages on Pras’s answer- ing machine. There are a cou- ple dozen people like Donald Trump, Chris Rock, Sting, and Jennifer Lopez just to name a few. One thing | found odd for arap CD is that all of the curse words we scrambled out. As the ever-annoying Martha former Arts & Entertainment better be serious stuff where he’s crooning or swinging with the band. The Humourous stuff flops. As he relies solely on a certain four letter word that starts with f to get his laughs. It doesn’t really work, unfor- tunately for potty-mouth Pesci. I can’t really recommend this one, unless you're a big Joe Pesci fan, or you get it for free somewhere. Stephen McQuaid Stewart would have said, “That is a good thing.” Especially after listening to that new Joe Peshi CD. And besides, no- body can call Pras “Potty- mouth Pras” now.
