The ewes The University of Prince Edward lsland Theatre Society is presenting their first production of the season: Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie. The play, which opened in Chicago in 1945 before moving on to Broadway, was Williams‘ first critical and popular success and is considered by many critics to be his finest play. This is a semi-autobiographical work: recounts the memories of a young man, drifting between cities looking back over the circum- stances that forced him away from his mother, his sister and her strange collection of glass animals. The play is being directed by David Moses, an alumnus of U.P.E.l., who recently directed Sam Shepard‘s True West for the Theatre Society which toured ClMN.
