Compliments for Supt. Fraser
Blind were held in the large hail of the
ins itution which was literally packed
to the doors-many who sought admis-
inv room and were obliged to return to
who has this year visited a number of
similar institutions in Canada and the
United States-that the Hallfax School
for the Elind stands second to none of
them. This was subsequently endorsed
by Mr. George Mitchell, M. P. who had
visited some deaf and dumb institutions.
. In speaking at the close of the meet-
ing Mr. Fraser corroborated at some
l_eI_igth, ‘going ihto details, the chair-
man’s declaration that the Halifax in-
siitulicn was second to none of those
visited by Mr. Fraser inthe United
States.
In prfsenting the prizes for proficiency
in spelling Rev. Dr. Black remirked on
the thoroughness ot the training given
in the Halifax School for the Blind _in
all the departments of the school.
