One of the largwt. ladybug forms I know of is in California. on the site are 28 buildings. each with 6 rooms packed full of in- sects. 20 men are employed to take care of the nurseries. The bugs consume in a single year 5.000 sacks of the best spuds that can be purchased. The temperature of the nursery must be kept at ap- proximately 80 degrees. and the larvae are grown on potato spr- cuts. The bugs are put up for delivery in capsules. ten insects to a. capsule and the fruit farmer uses one capsule for each infested tree.
