Every town should have a gym- nssuim. The love for companionship was natural and a younrfs man compan- ionship should be lived in that environ- ment where it would be most helpful. He believed that when the proposed new building was instituted the saionns would lose titty per cent of what they are getting. Ile vividly described how many people rcccived their death blow when they are young, He corrrpared thc cost of the building with the amount comumed in the liquor business asserting that in 25' years after the building is errcted thc moral condition of the town would hcl reversed and that the men who cor.-i tributed towards the erection of the build' ihg would consider lt the best investrucnt i they ever made. Rr v. A. N. Simpson defined the place that the Y. M. C. .\. holds with other Socleties.
