Glen Levitt. and canso, which have been attending Dredge 115 in Montague, left for Wood Ia- lands to tow Dredge No. 9 and scow to Bathurst, N. 3. The tow- boat Fredericton has arrived here to assist the Pugwash in attendinz Dredge 1.15. It is not known whether the No. 9 and attending tow-boats will later return here as was expected. Up to the present the M6 has been doing excellent work in clearing out the heavily siited channel. but the great amount of work yet to be dono will not be finished before the fail shipping. T. groups. Miss Newsom was guest speaker for the afternoon, and was introduced by the president. Miss Newsom is ..a home missions worker. she told of her own personal experience in the "coke ovens" near Sydney, N, 5., whjere she was sent by the Mission Band in 1982. In coke ovens she worked among Hungarians, Uk- ranians, ct.c., Miss Newsom realized one of the first great needs was to establish a fresh air camp for the children. one year later her dream was real- ized, and she with another mission Worker. and some forty children set up their tents on land given for -M..M....s.. four children. are also on holiday at the Kilmuir home.
