It would be dil- iicult to mention any star per- iormancs. as all the actors and entertainers seemed to please the audience. Perhaps the most hil- arious moment oi the evening came when the curtain was pulled back to reveal seven oi the com- munities' well known residents at- tired as iniants tor the "Baby show." The concert opened and closed with choral numbers sung by the school children of both districts. The senior group's iinal selection was "The Island Hymn", which they ioilowed by "The Queen". Mrs. C. D. Wright accompanied the children, and they were direct- ed by Wm. A. Jones. May 5 in Hamilton Hall, proved very succeasiul in antsrtainme and in ninances which are rais- ed ior the building iund oi the new school. . Messrs. Thos. Humphrey per- iormed the duty as chairman in Kenaington while Mr. Lloyd Lock- erby acted at the Hamilton con- cert. Two one-act comedies were very well presented; each mem- ber of the cast taking their re- spective parts in a very realistic manner. In the iirst. a very active little drama. Mrs. Russel Campbell and Mrs. Daniel Noonsnpplaying the part oi two maiden ladies, brought out very amusingiy the events of an evening in their home. when they had a visitor. a shy young man who later proved himself a relative. This part was very weu taken by Mr. Keith Mann. This scene gave the audience much cause to smile. Mr. Donald Mecbelian played a very professional part, in the sec- ond comedy. From his apparent absent-mindedness, the writing or a speech and washing dishes are two duties that cannot be attend- ed to at the same time. and when a young lady, Miss Agatha Mac- Lellan, took reluge in his apart- ment, he was more confused than ever. Her sudden appearance brought still another visitor. Mr. Andrew Turner. with more amus- ing complications. The part of a relative was well taken by Mrs. Louis Rogers. The many deceiving and perplex- ed situations throughout this scene were well periormed and applauded by the audience. Mr. Allan Mscheilen supplemented his brother's part with equally as good acting in the second per- iormance. Pleasing musical numbers in- cluded vocal solca.
