Moo- Spccial services of worship. ded- ication, and thanksgiving marked the reopening of the North wilt- shire United Church on Sunday, November lath. Good sized con- gregations were prescnt' for both morning and afternoon services, but the unpleasant weather pre- vented many from being at the evening service. During the past six months the church has been completely re- modelled. It has been raised and I full S t provided. A new 50' x 12' piece has been added across the back. This provides I chancel, class room, and vcstry. New finish has been placed both inside and out, a forced air oil- fired furnace provides capstone- hie heating, and recessed lights provide soft lighting throughout. The renovated church is chan- cel style, and has seating for about 125. The finish is in light dusky rose, with the trim a somewhat darker shade. The pews, pulpit. reading desk. baptismal font. as well as small wall sections around the pulpit and reading desk are of douglas fir plywood, and are finished in their. natural color. Small recessed spot lights accen- tuate the pulpit, reading desk. and central communion table. A gift from the Young People's Union made possible the laying of linoleum and rubber tile in the main auditorium, and the Wom- an's Association provided I carpet for the chancel.
