Catarrh of the stomach has long been considered the next thing to incurable. The usual symptons are a full or bloated sensation after eating, accom- _ panied some times with sour or watery risings. a formation of gases, causing pressure on the lungs and heart and difficult breathing; headache, fickle appetite, nervousness and a general 'played out and limguid feeling. There is often a foul taste in the mouth, coated tongue, and it the inter- ior 'of stomach could be seen it would show a slimy, inlametl condition. The cure for this comniou and obstin- '_ ste disease is found in a treatment , which causes the food to be readily and thoroughly digested before it has time U ferment and ' iritate the delicate mucous surfaces of the sioniacti. Tosecure a prompt and healthy di- gestion is the one necessary thing to do, and when normal digestion is secured the catarrhal condition will have dis- lppesred. According to Dr. Harlanson the safest and best treatment is to use after each meal s tablet, composed of Diastrse, Aseptic Pepsin, a little Nux Golden Seal and fruit acids. _ These tablets can now be found at all drug stores under the name of Stuart’s, Dyspepsia Tablets, and, not being a patent medicine. can be used with per- feet safety and assurance that healthy Sppetite and thorough digestion will follow their regular use after meals. Mr. N. J. Bucher, of 2710 Deaborii St.. Chicago,ll1., writes: -‘Catirrah is a local condition resulting from a neglect- ed cold in the head, whereby the lining membrane ot tue nciie becomes in- flamed and the poisonous [discharge therefrom. passing back into the trnat, reachis the stomach, thus producing catarrah of the stomach.
