Coroner McNeill on Sunday afternoon held an inquest on the body of Daniel McDonald, a laboring msn of this city, aizod about iii) years. McDonald was u married man and lived with his wife near the Lower Spring Park Road. He has for years been em- ployed as a city laborer. On last Wednesday he left his home to go to Picton, and did not return until Saturday night. At Plctou it seems that he consulted i\ doctor from whom ho got some medicine. This medicine was proved to be of a harmless character. On Satur- iluy McDonald left Picton and snibarked on the S. S. Noriiiuinbciluiid for Char- lottetown. Oii the way over hc coiiipiained to tim crew of thc steamer, saying ho was very sick. He passed most of the time on the trip below decks and trying to sleep among the packages of the cargo. Upon reaching this city he niacin his wny to his h ouie, arriving there about 10 ociooli. Here he told his wife that he was burning up inside and was very thirsty and asked tors lot of ics water to drink. After quenching his thirst he went to bed very ill. Shortly after midnight he died, und the police were told of the matter. Coroner McNeill was notified anil be summoned thejury atonce, as it would not be possible on a week day to get witnesses employed on the steamer. , .Aftert-hejury viewed the body at the house,-the inquest- was held at the _Police Court room.
