Egg Prices Continue On Upward Trend Egg prices continue to advance and operators of registered egg grading stations are quoting pro- ducers for ungraded eggs AL 44— 45 1-2, AM 42-43 1-2, B 31-2, C 25—8. Mr. FM. Nash. supervising poultry products inspector said yesterday in a Dominion of Agri- culture egg and poultry market report. These prices are six to eight cents per dozen higher than for the same period last year. It should be noted that the advance in price only affects Grade “A" eggs therefore it behooves all. through better feeding methods and care of eggs. to endeavour to market a greater proportion of Grade "A" eggs. The advance. in prices makes for a most favourable egg-feed relationship and should encourage poultrymen to hold over a larger percentage of their hens for lay- ing purposes, rather than market them Jor meat. In doing so. the flocks should be fed to obtain the maximum per bird to cash in on present high prices.
