The Char- lottetown office looks after the needs of Queens and King Coun- ties, and the Summerside Office arranges the importation of farm help for Prince County. All potato pickers brought to the Province by the two offices are provided with free transportation. and if their services are satisfac- tory are given return fare to their homes. There is the further stip- ulation that pickers must remain in the Province as long as they are needed. Thus, many of them complete a tour of duty with one farmer then report to either the Na- tional Employment Office in Sum- merside or Charlottetown and are sent to the farm of another grower. As a check on his entitlement to a return ticket to h;s home. each, picker carries a card giving his name and address and with space enough, whereon his employer can certify as to his usefulness. With- out this certification no transpor- tation is issued. .
