Captain Basil Kelly gave a re- port o! the proceedings _of the annual meeting of the Maritime Board o! Trade held in Saint John recently. The difllcuity of getting trucks loaded with produce on board the car ferry was given considerable discussion. It was pointed out that dua to the tact that the auto ramp was not strong enough to accommodate trucks with a load of 0000 pounds it was necessary to put these trucks on flat cars, an arrangement which ln many cases entailed a delay o! three hours. The seriousness of the situation was very great in the case of trucks carrying perishable goods. A letter was read from the Min- broughl. to the attention of the proper authorities. Reporting tor the Tourist Com- mittee, Mr. Alan Holman compil- mented the Town of Summerside on the excellent banquet tendered the Tourist Bureau on their recent visit.
