Foster Central Drugstore ’SPAWN IUBSliRS Sir,-— Being a fisherman i would like to make a few remarks in regard to the spawn lobsters and llatclleries. The cost of gathering the spawn and operating a hatchery seems useless to nl e. i believe by putting a heavy fine on the fisherman destroying a seed or spawn lobster and show him where by destroying some for the sake of live or ten cents he is destroying hundreds . of dollars worth 01' lobsters, :Is I Illi- (lerstnnd there are about fifteen to thirty thousand lobster seed on each one. Were the lobster thrown into the sea again there Is the chance of several years spawning. As for the hatcheries tlle largest quantity of spawn lobsters are caught ill the first weekoi’ fishing, willie most every spring in tllis section we have been fishing a week or so before the spawn boat delivers the Ill-ates at the differ- ent factories. 1 am, Sir, etc. FISHERMAN.
