A letter was read from J. A. Ruddick,
Chief of Dairy Division, Ottawa, asking
that cheese be sent from the Island to the
Pan-American Exposition. The cheese to
be forwarded by the Secretary of the As-
sociation to Professor Robertson, the As-
sociation paying the cost of transmission.
Unfortunately the time is limited and
only afew of the nearest factories will
have time to compete. A letter was re id
from Inspector Morrow making complaint
that in a few instances the tanks were
not properly cleaned and asking author-
ity from the Association to run out the
whey and to clean the tanks, before leav-
ing the factory,
The directors decided to instruct the
Secretary tp write to the companies com-
plained of witha view to having the mat-
ter remedied. It is certainly in the inter-
