The late Mr. MacKcnzie was born at Cavendish in December, 1372. a. son of the late Au-mis and Emma. Hooper vMacKcnzic. He attended the Cavendish School and Prince of Wales College, and for a period of seven years tauqlit school most successfully at Meadow Bank, Granville and Oyster Bed Bridge. He then t/Ook up farming at Rustico, and afterwards locar- ed at Million, where he became an outstanding dairy farmer rind breeder of pure bred cattle. Mr. MacKciizie was for years secretary of the Cheese Factory. A gifted ivriicr, he contributed many articles to the press on agricultural subjects and community history.
