      appeared
      in
      last
      week’s
      X-Press.
      In
      re-
     
     
      sponse
      to
      the
      first
      letter
      I
      have
      a
      few
      comments.
      First
     
     
      of
      all,
      there
      is
      a
      great
      history
      to
      the
      motion
      of
      which
     
    
   
   
    
     
      you
      speak.
      It
      is
      only
      the
      next
      step
      in
      a
      plan
      that
      has
     
     
      been
      in
      the
      works
      for
      years.
     
    
   
   
    
     
      Secondly,
      you
      say
      that
      you
      were
      at
      that
      council
      meet-
     
     
      ing
      which
      (I’d
      know)
      means
      you
      are
      either
      a
      council-
     
     
      lor,
      the
      secretary
      or
      the
      speaker.
      Everyone
      that
      at-
     
     
      tends
      council
      meetings
      is
      encouraged
      to
      speak
      out
      if
     
     
      they
      wish.
      If
      you
      are
      an
      elected
      councillor
      then
      you,
     
     
      not
      the
      executive,
      are
      the
      one
      who
      is
      not
      doing
      your
     
     
      job.
      You
      should
      be
      speaking
      up
      while
      you
      have
      the

      chance
      torepresent
      yourconstituentsinsteadof

      writing
      a
      letterto
      the
      paper.

      council
      works

      you
      comment
      make
      sure
      you
      have
     
     
      all
      the
      facts,

      like

      comment
      to

      Mad
      Student’’,
     
     
      who
      ridiculously
      suggested
      that
      the
      executive
      resign.
     
     
      You
      are
      also
      ignorant
      to
      some
      facts.
      Number
      1,
      you
     
     
      also
      obviously
      don’t
      know
      what
      really
      happened
      with
     
     
      the
      ‘‘Alter
      Ego’’.
      Secondly,
      you
      cannot
      criticize
      the
     
     
      executive
      for
      not
      representing
      the
      concerns
      of
      the
     
     
      students
      when
      so
      few
      students
      seem
      to
      make
      the
     
     
      effort
      to
      make
      their
      concerns
      known.
      I
      guess
      what
      I
     
     
      am
      saying
      is
      that
      believe
      it
      or
      not,
      your
      elected
      repre-
     
     
      sentatives
      would
      like
      to
      hear
      your
      concerns.
      However,
     
     
      anonymous
      letters
      are
      not
      the
      way
      to
      get

      done.
      All
      they
      do
      is
      stir
      up
      a
      lot
      shit
      and
      bad

      executive
      to
      resign,

      which

      an
      apt
      indicator

      exalted
      perch
      to
      which
      you
      seem
      to
      be
      at
      pains
      to
     
     
      ascend.
      Implicit
      in
      almost
      all
      of
      your
      editorials
      isa
     
     
      very
      thinly
      veiled,
      but
      quite
      unmistakable,
      will
      toward
     
     
      self-engrandizement.
      You
      consistently
      criticise,
      but
     
     
      fail
      to
      offer
      any
      solutions,
      always
      with
      the
      implica-
     
     
      tion
      that
      you
      are
      the
      qualified
      and
      hallowed
      authority
     
     
      on
      the
      matter.
      You
      lay
      judgement
      upon,
      speak
      down
      to
     
     
      and
      shit
      from
      on
      high
      with
      the
      verve
      and
      snootiness
     
     
      of
      some
      sort
      of
      cultural
      superman.
      Iam
      completely
     
     
      fed
      up
      with
      your
      negativity
      and
      sarcasm.
      You

      that

      only
      serve
      to
      outrage
      and
      alienate
