A resolution passed b'y the Town Council and school trustees this week asked the Pro- bonds ‘to be issued-by the town for the construction of a six-room building. Sum- merside, was the entertainment of members of the Charlottetown store at a number of events on Wednesday. In the afternoon a. hockey game was played between teams representing both stores which resulted in a three all tie score. After the game a skate was held and in the evening a dinner was held at the Olympia for tne hockey teams. At the dinner Mr. Robert Holman, manager of the Charlottetown store, announced that the Charlottetown staff would invite the Summerside staff mem- bers to a. similar event in Char- lottetown in two weeks. An enjoy- able dance was hold in tl.;e eQe- ning at the Maple Leaf Garden to the music oi Ted Ahearnb orchestra. A bus containing a number of the guests from Charlottetown was de- iayed by the bad roads and did not arrive till nearly midnight so the dance was prolonged another hour or so. A number of old time dances were also tield. At the skate in the afternoon, Mr. Felix Gallant, the well known member of l-lolman's delivery staff, arrived with a pair of old fashioned stock skates which are fastened to the soles of one’s shoes. InspeeclMr. Gallant was better than a match for the younger skaters who used more modern equipment but at turning corners lie was not so adept.
