POTATO YIELDS The official estimate in potato yields this year is that 6,956,000 hundredweights were produc- ed. This compares with 8,362,000 hundredweights a year ago. Put potato yields are usually thought of in bushels here on Prince Edward Island. So that’s approximately 11,600,000 bushels of potatoes this year, compared to approximately 13,953,000 bu- shels in the 1964 crop.
