Scott Spencer 2.07, Vella la Vella 2.1125 and Jean Henley 2.08 1-4 are the season's leading race winners each having won seven firsts.) Chuck Worthy 2.02 1-2 stepped eight heats in 2.10 or better, sharing honors with Time Counts. Quebec owned Time Table 2.03 won the largest purse ever offered fo- an openyrace in the Maritimes-the $5,000.00 Free-For-All at Monctcn, while Tip Abbe won the Maritime pacing derby at New Glasgow and was the winner of five races when he met with an accident that put him out of racing. Weeks later he showed his heels to the best free-for-allers at Foxlboro, Mass., set- ting up three track records there. Ann Clegg, starting the season without a record, ‘won six races and had the honor of winning the largest stake ever raced for in the Maritimes at Blue Acres, New Glasgow. Although he did not remain to complete the season's racing here Joe O'Brien again has the honor of leading all drivers in the Maritime: in points scored, with George Lewis second, Wor- rell Lewis third and Willard Kelly fourth.
