Dear Editor: I would just like to point out the appalling abuse of the handicapped parking on this campus. The other day as I parked my car, in the pouring rain at the end of the tennis court parking lot, I was angry to see two little old ladies, books in hand, RACE to their class from acar in the handicapped zone. Niether of these ladies appeared remotely handicapped. I andacam- pus security officer immediately checked the suspect car fora handicapped tag. To our surprise there it lay on the dash. Now one says to themself if the ladies are not handi- capped... whois? Unfortunately the abuse by people in our society of such advantages for the disadvan- taged leads to furhter abuse and mockery. It is unfor- tunate that these special tags are mobile and can be used at anyone’s convenience. Whoever yoou are out there that think these parking spots are a joke, I wish you to re-examine yourcon- science fora little guilt and think twice the next time. Sincerely, Kate Dear Editor: lam writing because of something that disturbed me on Sunday. I was coming here to do some photocopy- ing and a little work. My sisters (13 & 8) asked if they could come. I was showing them around campus when we stopped in the bathroom in main. Where I noticed one of the posters for the take back the night rch had ‘‘weird’’ written acroos it. I wasa little agitated about this and explained to my 13 year old sister what the idea is behind The Take Back The Night March was. I said ‘‘why would somebody write wierd abouta march that is to promote the fact that women should be able to walk down the street without fear of being attacked and/or raped!’’ The reply to my surprise came from my 8 year old sister. She replied, ‘‘What’s weird about that?’’ So to the erson who wrote weird on the poster maybe you ould like to answer our question!! oncerned Student VISIT OUR SOLARIUM AND RECEIVE THE BEST VALUE IN TOWN TEN THIRTY MINUTE SESSIONS FOR ONLY $27.50!!!
