Prince Regent won the race, but much dissatisfaction was mani- fest when the decision of the judges on ibis matter was given 4s nine-tenths of the people considered that Progress Lad hed won the race fairly without a bitch or breaa. Between the heats of the match race, the three minute class was trotted fora purse of $75,divided, end was won 'n fine style by Mr. Fred. MeDonald’s Par- ker Wilker. In the first heat of this race Brown Bird, owned by Mr. Wood of this city, broke the wheel of the sulky, threw Mr. Wood acd ran around the track for about three-eights of amile before be.ng stopped.
