The accident happened about 11.30 Saturday night. wlieu Moran attempt- ed to turn his car at the corner of Commercial and Blowers Streets. The soldier was standing near Gauuon's Corner. when suddenly the car jump- ed the curli and before McCormack could escape, it struck him with great force, hurling him about ten feet, rendering him unconscious. The car brought up with u bang against the building. but was not much damaged. McCormack, it wus at first believed by those near the scene, was badly injured, when a physician was called it was ascertained his injuries were not of a serious nature, although he was sent to the I-lainilton Hospital in the morning.
