' For tho driver who scores the most points the Macdcnald Tobacco Company of Montreal has donated a sterling silver tro- phy known as the British Conlola Trophy. To the owner of the horse breaking tho track record of 2.0559 will be given $50. also $50 to the owner of the horse breaking the track trotting reoord of 2.01%. Competent and experienced oftlcials will handle the meeting and the fairest and most generous t. tment will be given to every horseman. Early in the season plans were made to improve facilities‘ for the showing of iivo stock and when the Fatr opens for Illdglrg‘ on Tuesday ' , August 12th, a large new show ring with plenty of costing accommodation will be available for the difler- mt breeds of cattle. Facing it will be the horse ring. In order to accommodate the great numbers of cattle two now barns with concrete foundations have been built and (Expect- ations are that every inch of space will be utilised not only for the housing of cattle but also for the horses, aheep, swine and poultry. The latter will be shown in the magnificent poultry building bullt two years ago and its judging pavilion will be nu]. lied for display purposes. These are but a few of the changes on the main grounds. - The race track has been rebuilt and a wide ditch made lndde capable of draining the track quickly after the hcavielt rain storm.
