Cue people of this place are becoming weary of waiting for the Post Office which we were led to believe would be granted ere this. When it is remembered that there are in this settlement no fewer than forty tive householders, the justness of our de mand for a Post Office cannot well be de- nied. Inthe matter of mail accomodation we would be worse off than at present, were it not for the kindness of Mr. Thomas Bolt, who, for years, hascarried our mail matter from North Milton, frea of charge. \ slight ripple of excitement was caused here last week, when it became known that a gentlemen in our midst, who had, for years, withstood cupid’s most fiery darts, had at last succumbed. The interesting event, which usjted two happy hearts in holy Wedlock, took place on the evening of the 13th inst. On that occasion, some seventy guests assembled at the residence of Mr. Alexander MeMillan, Brackley Point, to witness the marriage Mr. Charles Seaman, of New Glasgow Road, to Miss Lydia McMillan. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Allan, of Cove ticat. The bridesmaids were Miss Cecelia MeMillan and Miss Aunie Seaman. The yrvom was supported by Mr. J. M. Camp- bell and Mr. W. M. The chief topic of conversation here is the addition the late snow has made to- wards the improvement of our shipping ; so that our farmers and others are taking the advantage it affords them in hauling their wood, poles, produce, etc. _ A very creditable exomination was held m our school, on the 14th inst., in the presence of the rate-payers. Several other gentlemen were also present, among whom the most noticeable were Messrs. Roderick and R. l. McInnis, George F. and Samp- aon P. Rose, and Roderick L. McDonald, Ksqj.
