The regular monthly meeting of the City School Board was held last evening. The teachers’ reports showed the euroiment for the past month to be 1380, an increase of 31 over September. In consequence of Principal McSwain’s resignation, which is to take effect on the 31st of December, and the appo:ntm-at of Mr. Cullen to the principalship ef Queen Square School on that date, the Secretary wa: directed to advertise for a Vice Princi- al for Queen Square School. It was ordered that the tupe vor ep- quire into a case of suspensivn of @ pupil by a teacher, also to some inaccuracies ip some of the teachers’ reports. The committee on property was appointed to look into a complaint by a citizen that the desks were notsuitanle for the grade. A new “ plan for the promotivn of pupils” was submitted and adopted for the current vear. Mr. D. C. McLeod was appointed on the visiting committee for the month of Nov- ember.
