It wi1lbe're- membered that the Blanche M. Thor- bourn, in December last, on her way to Shelburne from Halifax with a gen- eral cargo, came in for shelter and anchored at Brooklyn. A heavy gale came on and the schooner parted both chains and was driven ashore at the Wharf Rocks, on the western .side of the harbor. The owners and un- derwriters lhen compromised and the vesselwas sold at auction and purchased by Mr. John Millzad, who jacked her up clear ofthe tide and repaired her. Mr. Millard sold the schooner while she was still on the beach to Captain Mc- Leod,of Prince Edward Island, who will take her to his home as the ice leaves the Gulf of St. Lawrence.-Halifax Herald. “WHEN Codringtoife soldiers were scarce beginning their rush toward the face of the Great Redoubr. the 7th Fusi- lfers-rudely and hastily gathered. but contnving to hold together -were be- ginning thig battle of their own.
