Tuere has long existed a public demand for an effective purgative pill which could be relied on as sure and perfectly safe in ifs operation. ‘his has» been. prepared to meet that demand, and an eaten- sive trial of its virtues has conclusively shown with what success it eccomplishes the purpose designed. It 1s exsy to maxe a physical pil/, but not ecavy te ‘nake the best of all pil/s—one which should have none cf the objections, but all the advantages, of every other, This has been attempted here, und with what success we would respectfully submit to the public decision... It has been unfortunate for the patient hitherto that almost every purgative medicine is acrimonious and iritating to the bow- els. This is not. Many of them produce so much griping pain and revulsion in the system as to more than counterbalince the good to be derived from j them. These pil/s produce no irritation or pain, unless it arisc from a previously existing obstruc tion or derangement in the bowels. Being purely vegetable, no harm can arise from their use im any quantity ; but it is better that any medicine shaald be taken judiciously. Minute directions for their use in ihe seyeral diseases to which they are ap- plicable are given on the box. Among the com- plaints which have been te cured by them, we Hlolloway’s Ointment and Pills will effect rapid cures of indolent sores, as tu be considered a complete phenomenon in the healing art. Tbe pain | and malignity of the appearance of the disease is instantaneously soothed | beneficial alteration in the internal mewbers, until, at last, all traces of the disease both interually and externally disappear. It is for this rea- son that these remedies are advocated by all-modern practitioners, after every thing else has been found unsuccessful. 36 FEVERS. Fevers, like every other form of disease to which the human system is liable, is caused by impure hamors. This being caused by the more | rapid action of the blood struggling with nature, in. endeavoring to cast ont of the body the corrupt matter which is deadly opposed to health. | Hence the good and bad humors are at war with each other, and the | commotion which follows causes fever and heat. The symptoms of fever | are various; causing heaviness, languid, difficult breathing, eyes dull) aad heavy, anxiety, sighing and yawning, thirst, nausea and sickness, | a fulness about the stomach, and sometimes vowiting bilious matter. | Dr. Morse’s Indian Root Pills are acknowledged to be a strengthening | and delightful medicine for all kinds of fevers. They not only cleanse | the stomach and bowels from all bilious matter, but they open the ex- | cretury vessels, causing them to pour copious effusions from the blood | into the bowels, after which the corrupted mass is thrown out by the | natural passage of the body. All that is required, in urgent cases of | fever, will be to take large doses. In order to have them operate thoroughly by the bowels, take from three to five, night and morning, | yz, until well, and you will be convinced that this is the best way | tu cheek fever, because they drive out all inflamation, and restore the And the blood and other fluids will be | evening New Advertisements. ae ee -.
