When the whistle blew t0 start the struggle the league stand- 1H3 was all tied up and both teams went all out to win. Although building up a first period lead of one goal and ending the sand- wich session at tivo all, the local Eagles wilted before the Bruin onslaught in the third, and the game ended with a victory for the Bears by a. 5-2 score. The first Period opened fast with the Eagles llnc of Stevens, Mcrvcili and mew- 9113'" Carrying the play into the Bruin territory and keeping it. there for minutes on end. The play pattern did not change when the local line of Luvandier, Dicks and Johnson came on. In fast, for I. sustained nttuck this period sur- passed any period played here this winter but NlacKay 1n the Har- bour net was equal to the occasion. Erratic shooting also helped keep the Eagles off the scoring sheet on numerous occasions until at 10.18 the puck landed in the twines u it was deflected in the net by Mc- Neill. a Bruin player. with the credit suing to s. MHCNOIII of the Eagles. The middle frame started awny fast but slowed somewhat until at 3.25 H. Stevens_ scored for the Eagles on n pretty effort, af- ter W. MacLcnn had carried deep into Bruin territory". Stevens piCli~ ed up a loose puck and cleverly parked it behind MacKay. The Bruins then went to work and at 4.23 Shelton Hume realized on a nice play. Play continued close with both goalies making many fine saves until at. 13.09. L. Nic- olle from S. Hume got the equal- izer. This ended the goal-getting for this frame, which finished 2-2. ‘The third period was only 2.40 old when G. Harris from Herring put the visitors one up and again at the 3.00 minute mark it was L. NiCDIIe who was the marksman for the Harbour boys. The locals then carried the play on rush after rush deep into enemy territory but could not crack the stout defence of the Bruins. The final score was notched by Sterling Hume at 19.30, to make the score read 542. Refer- ee, J. B. Scully. Georgetown. Lineups: Murray Harbour Bruins. - Goal. S. MacKay; defence. \V. Harris, L.
