Mr. Macdonald had been in failing health for a number years and had been bedfast for the past two years. He was born in Georgetown in 1849, a son 0i the isltas Ml‘. and Mrs. Joseph Macdon. fl He learned the carpenter tilde with his father and spent a. few years in the United States, return- ing, to Georgetown in 1813. He ivorked there as a carpenter uii- tll 1891 anti iii the latter year re- moved to his farm at Burnt Point. about two miles from the town. where he carried on farming in addition to carpenter work. In 1936 he sold his property and came to Georgetown to reside.
