In ailing health for a short period, Mr. Thompson became ' st Friday when he entered hospital. He was born. Aug. 17. 1898, at Margate, to the late Mr.~and Mrs. Hiram Thompson. He enlisted in the Canadian Army and served four years with a Canadian machine gun corps during the First World War. after which he went to the United States and carried on a building contracting business before returning to his native province. He was employed for her of years with M. F man Co. Ltd. and served most of his time as manager of the Summerside retail branch. He was a past member of the Legion and the Board of Trade. Besides his widow, the former Annie Bernard of Kenslngton. he is survived by two sons, Er- win, an historian at the Whit- man National Monument, Walla Walla, Wash., and Reginald, with Eastern Bakeries_Lod., at Summerside. Other survivors include six brothers and two sisters, Hor- ace and Ralph, Long River; Stanley C. of Ch"I‘own: Roland of Calgary. Alberta; Ro Margate: Clifford, and Dorothy (Mrs. Norbert Brennan) of Tor- onto: and Winnie (Mrs. C. C. Baker), Kenslngton.
