Y. and Mrs. Mac- (Toubrey (nee Elizabeth Younker) gnd was one of a family of ten eluidren. four girls and six boys. all of whom predeceased her ex- gepi one brother H. A. R of New Glasgow. The sisters were Mary Alice. Mrs. J. H. Simpson, former- ly of Bay View. Prince Edward Island and the Misses Susie and Melinda. Her brothers were David Iitrtck, William Herbert and ltrhard Andrew. all of whom died when children; also H. A. W. who up to the time of his death con- lucied a large mercantile business gl Sydney, N. S.. and L. D. H. who was with his brother in Sydney for some time before opening a gore in his native village New Glasgow and H. A woman with firm religious convictions she in- listed on what to her were the assic fundamentals of human be- ies. She had a broad sympathy. Ifill her loyalty and fidelity to her trends was strong and steadfast. Her love and devotion for the mem- ocrs of her immediate and most tm.eworthy. The Cemetery at New Glasgow was her special interest and for :he past seventeen years she was the Secretary - Treasurer. Much tredit is due her for its improve- ment and maintenance. Only four years ago a presentation was made to her by the surrounding districts in appreciation of her nnttring and helpful services. Stock Marl NEW YORK AP) -- The stock market was lower again last week primarily because of concern over the continuing crisis in the Mid- dle East The Associated Press average of 60 stocks declined 81.90 to 8176.00. The market was lower the first three days of the holiday - short- ened week and posted its only daily gain on Friday. The stock exchange was closed Thursday for Thanksgiving and many in Wall Street made it a long weekend. The market pattern had not been expected to take any decl- sive turn b of the holiday lull. But lam Monday's decline was the steepest so far this month and additional ground lost on Tuesday and Wednesday sent av- erage priees below previous levels. Steels and shipbuilding issues continued to gain on soaring in- dustry prospeets. given a shot in the arm by new demand for ship platln and oil pipes because of the .ties. crisis.
