     The opening of a new service station by Summerside 
     
     Motors on Water Street. Summerside. is an important au- 
     
     vancement in the services avai ble to the motoring public. 
     
     Mr. Wm. Moase, the propriet . is to be congmtillatedon 
     
     the very fine new building and modern equipment which 
     
     compose the new station. 
     
    

    
     Located on the waterfront near.the east end railway 
     
     crossing this service station makes a great improvement in 
     
     this area which formerly was a bit of an eye sore. The 
     
     building is 43 by 30 feet and is constructed of concrete 
     
     blocks, manufactured in Summerside by P. E. I. Concrete 
     
     Products Company. The building is divided into wash room. 
     
     service room, show room, office and wash rooms for men 
     
     and women. The building is of the modern functional type 
     
     of architecture and two sides of the show room consist 
     
     entirely of glass supplied by Hobbs Glass Ltd. of Moncton. 
     
     The other two interior walls are finished in plywood veneer. 
     
    

    
     Fluorescent lighting fixtures have been installed 
     
     throughout by Wright and Bell Ltd.. who had the contract 
     
     for all the electrical installations. The forced air heating 
     
     system was installed by R. T. Morrison and Co.. who also 
     
     had the contract for the plumbing. The general contractors 
     
     were Morrison and Harris of Summerside and a great deal 
     
     of the equipment was supplied by Batt & MacRae Ltd. of 
     
     Charlottetown. 
     
    

    
     The overhead doors for the wash room and service 
     
     room as well as some hardware and paint were purchased 
     
     from the Summerside Hardware Company. Most of the 
     
     lumber, doors and door-frames and other materials were 
     
     supplied by R. T. .1-lolman Ltd. .

     handled exclusively and the tanks are the new ”shortie"
