They liked the beautifully turned out horses _and well trained lady and gentlemen riders of the Charlottetown Riding Club. .This year there will be more competition as the Halifax Riding Club have entered 16 of their best horses and they will come over accompanied by owner-riders. It will_truly be a sporting competition de luxe. Do_ not fail to see the beautifully groomed horses with their equipment spic and span, and the lady and gentlemen riders turned out perfectly, each striving to catch the judges eye and win the coveted red ribbon. Upwards of 60 horses, the largest number ever entered in a Maritime Horse Show, will take part. The ring will be brilliantly lit, the lighting having been stepped up to 22,000 candle power, by far the greatest illumination east of Montreal. A. special program will be issued giving in detail the classes that will be Judged each evening. A sound system will also carry announce- ments from the ring so that everyone will know enactly what is going on there. ‘ o MUSICAL RIDE The Horse Show every evening will conclude with a Musical Ride, one of the most popular numbers at any military pagent where mounted men take part. It will be performed by 16 members of the Prince Edward Island Light Horse uniformed in scarlet and blue and carrying lances. It will be the full dress uniform similar to that worn by the 6th Royal Lancers. A topping sight we would say. OANAlllAll LEGION BAND The Canadian Legion Band are a group of musicians that have had a great many years’ experience and most of them have been trained under high class band masters in Canada and England. They were highly complimented last year by the Manager of the Queens of the Air. This year they have gone to a great deal of trouble to prepare a program for our Exhibition that will please our public. We believe you will like the music they will furnish and enjoy every number they FIREWORKS Who does not enjoy Fireworks ‘I Think back to the days of your youth when you were so proud to have the privilege of setting oiT even a small firecracker. Last year we made a start with Fireworks, put considerable money into them and drew big crowds and pleased them with the display. This season we have put more money into Fireworks and can truthfully say on the best of authority that it is the finest program ever given in the Maritimes, It will start with imitations of Big Bertha shells and follow up with a program that will hold your attention from start to finish. May we mention a few of the high lights of this display. Hugh three pound Exhibition Rockets ascending in a hurricane ofgolden fire and ernblazing the night with streaming color.
