Cocks in November, 1934. recounted the steps taken by the session and congregation in search for e minister, and described the final action resulting in the call to Rav. Mr. Pritchard, whose pastor- stebegsn on Sunday last. ‘ Rev. C. Ritchie Bell, of Bt. James' Presbyterian Church, Truro gave the address to the minister. MacKinnon gave the address to the congregation, He congratulated them on the choice ' of their pastor and exhorted them to co-operate with him by loyal service, by faithful attendance at church, by prayer, and by~ sym- pathetic consideration. They could foster the spirit of eager expec- tation and optimism while render- ing wholehea-rted service. Itev. George A. Allan, minister of Knox Presbyterian Church, Halifax. preached the induction sermon and took part in the ser- vice of worship. Special music was rendered by the choir. After the service a lunch was served by the ladies of the con- gregation and n. social hour was enjoyed, and the new minister in- troduced to the congregation. MCMASTER .GIRLS ' TURN T0 NEEDIES HAMILTON, Nov. 13-Co-eds are plying the knitting needles in a revival of the purl and drop that threatens to revolutionize campus styles. Many- McMaster girls make all their clothes. while others con- tent themstlfes with making wool outfits. One girl knitted a skirt for a dress in her spare time in less than a week. To others have knitted dresses for /themselves, and are now working on Angora wool bed- room slippers. Some of the co-eds have reached the stage where they _are doing needlepcint work and knitting finger gloves. The increased popularity' of knitting has the blessing of male students many of whom are wear- ing sweaters, mufflers, ties, and crests made by co-educational friends. Other co-cds are said to be preparing hope chests.
