A MAN NaMeED McCarthy was last night set upon by a gang of roughs while passing through ‘‘Hell Street” and robbed of two dol- lars. This gang was attracted to McCarthy by a bettle of liquor which he carried on his one One of the gang seized the bottle, but eCarthy wrenched it from his grasp and in doing so fell on the street. The fellow again séized it-—but McCarthy took a firm hold with both hands and resolved to stick to the bottle tilldeath.
