AN adjourned meeting of the Summer-
side Town Council was held last night,
all members present. The Council went
into committee of the whole with Ccun.
Compton in the chair to consider the re-
quest ct the trnckmen for a raise in rates.
A delegation of truckmeu was _present to
confer with the council. After some' de-
liberation the committees reported recom-
mending changes ln the tax-lil' allowing
truckmen, generally speaking, advances
in the rate as follows:-Where the rate
was twelve cents, fifteen cents the charge;
the 16 cent haul be made 20 ,cents; the 8)
cent haul be ilxed at 25 cents; and the 25
'cent haul be advanced to II) cents. Tha
report also recommended one or two
slight changes in the boundaries govern-
ing the rates. Council resumed its sitt-
