PROVINCIAL PARKS WHAT'S NEW FOR 1988 Provincial Parks are planning a very busy summer season with several new interpretive programs and activities. Perhaps the biggest undertaking is "Interpretation Week," scheduled for July 18—24 at Brudenell River Provincial Park. the Throughout the week, bird culminating on the weekend with a park staff will be presenting nature walks, demonstrations, watching seminars and the like, two—day nature festival. We are quite excited about this event and anybody who is interested in getting involved can contact Provincial Parks at 368—5540. Keep a look-out for our posters in mid—June. Interpretive programming will also be expanding into more parks this summer through the development of a mobile programming unit. This unit will be travelling throughout the eastern region offering programs in parks and to people who have traditionally not received the service. The unit will also be arranging day-long special events in some of the underutilized parks in order to increase visitation and usage.
