     The Trustees of the P. E. l. Protestant Orphanage are 
     
     . grateful for the past generous support given to the Institu- 
     
     tion by all well-disposed Individuals and societies. 
     
    
   
   
    
     There have been times however, when the~ public has 
     
     been misled into the belief that certain benefit occasions 
     
     were for the sole aid of the Orphanage when in reality only 
     
     a portion of the proceeds has actually reached the Treas- 
     
     urer. 
     
    
   
   
    
     This REQUEST is made. that in the the future, on all 
     
     such benefit occasions the Trustees be consulted and inform- 
     
     ed it’ possible, and in every case a frank statement be given 
     
     to the public as to just what proportion of the proceeds will 
     
     he given to the Orphanage and what if any retained for
