ANNUAL MEETING 0s" MIS- coucua CONVENT ALUMNAE —The 13th annual meeting of the Mlscouche Convent Alumnae was held on Sunday, June 22nd. ‘vith a very fine attendance of members. The meeting opened with prayer outside at the Grotto of Our Lady, recently erected by Rev. Mother St Achille, Superior, and by the singing of Ave Maris Stella, when all Joined in humble prayer with fellow-worshippers at the great Marian Congress just now closing in the Capital City of Ottawa, to implore Our Lady to preserve the world and all mankind from an- other disastrous war. Then all repaired to the class- room for the business part of the meeting. which was presided over by the Sister Directress. Rev. Sis- ter St Mary sixtus. and the pres- ident. Miss Eileen Lecky. who op- ened it with the roll call of the executive. Some items of business were disposed of and after ways and tribute $25.00 annually to help defray the expense of a Grade XI alumna or alumnus from the school making highest marks in his or her examinations. Also that $10.00 be donated towards the upkeep of the Grotto, as well and example. His remarks were much appreciated and a hearty veto of thanks was presented Father Kelly, moved by Miss Re- gina Gillis and seconded by Miss Helen MacPhee. The meeting was also honored of the P. E, Island Chapter Convent Alumnae, Mrs. D.J. Riel-‘ l1) of Charlottetown who also ad- dressed the meeting in her usual gracious mariner. Rev.
