Island Presbyterial Which Opened rn Albertoii today was lurgely attended, between 70 and ao delegates responding to the roll call( A large number of visitors were also iii attendance. The beautiful weather combined with great interest and en. thusiasm makes these meetings equal to any of .the kind held for years. The morning session opened at 10 9,, m. with the President, Mrs, Rogers of ,Government House, in the chair. With her on the platform were: Mrs. Neil McLeod, Summerside, and the Vice~President, Mrs. Horton, Miss Muirhead 'and Mrs. Miller. After up- lifting devotional exercises, minutes of the Presbyterial, held last year in Malpeque, were read, and a helpful address given by»the President. The Secretary's report was _most encouraging, showing an advance all roiliid, 43 societies reporting with a large membership and much interest shown in the work. The report of the Home Mission Secretary also showed great ed- vances, tlie contributions for Home Missions this year being almost dollble those of 1910, 1911 and 1912, and an ever increasing interest being shown in the work. Iii the afternoon the chair was tak- en nt 2.30 and Miss Robertson, Sec- retary of Young People's Work, gave a splendid review of the year's work. Her report showed 29 bands with a membership of 532 and a total ol $628.35 raised by the bands; $490.32 for Foreign and $127.73 for Home Missions. The Treasurer‘s report was also most, favorable. For Foreign Mis- sions there whs raised this year by the whole Presbyterial $2.460, an ln- crease _over last year of $163.20; for Home Missions $556, almost double last year’s contribution, making a total for all purposes of $3,016.57, an increase over last year of $775.57. After these reports were adopted a conference, on Young Peop1e's Work was held, which was followed by re-, ports. of Committees. The session closed with the Doxology.
