Woovstork, Ont. Nov, 25.—Caretaker Porter of the Episcopal cemetery here r= ceived insiructions @ day or two ago to re- move a body which had been buried in the wrong plot by mistake to another spot ip thecemetery, The burial took place ten yearsago. Wheothe earth was thrown out i was found thatthe casket had rovus ed to such an extent that it was impossible to raise it. An effort was made to do so, but the tlack box crumbled to pieces,leav- ing the interior of the coffin exposed to view. After ten years the grave digger ex pected to find nothing but bleached bones, aod imagine his surprise to find a perfect: ly preserved corpse. The form and fea tures were perfeci, andeven theskin had retained the wax-like color which death imparted years ago. On closer exam!na- tion it was found that the process of peir:fi- cation, or whaiever it was set in. The body was as stiff asa board and heavier than an ordinary corpse. It was decided to raise the body without tbe casket, aod wito some difficulty it was lifted and plac- ed upright in the grave. It was then raised out of its long resting place, a new casket procared, and the bedy re~interred io its proper plot. Dr. A. W.
