FLORA MacDONALD The community of Primrose was saddened on Thursday, Ap- ril 17 when it became known that Mrs. Flora MacDonald, a dearly loved and highly respected resi- dent of the community, had pass- ed to her eternal reward. The deceased was the daugh- ter of the late Mary McLellan and Malvcolrn MacL:ellan and was born at St. Georges 91 years ago. She was -married to the late Ale- xander C. MacDonald who pre- deceased her 21 years ago. Mrs. Macdonald was a woman of many sterling qualities, sin- core, upright and honest. She was always ready to sacrifice her time and pleasure where lov- ing sympathy and kindly deeds were needed. Many. many times she sat at the bedside of sick neighbors to comfort and to con- sole them. She had a very ten- der love for the poor and the least until something, either food or clothing, or both, were sent off to the needy. Mrs. MacDonald had a strong spirit of faith and was consol- ed in'her la=st ill-ness by visits from her pastor. Fonti-fied by the last rites of the Church and sur- rounded by the loving members of her .family, her soul took its flight to ‘her Maker in Whom she had unalterable trust. Her remains were taken from the illenineussey Funeral Home on Friday evening to the home of her son and daughter-in-law with whom she lived and who cared for her most tenderly. A (‘Solemn High Mass of Req- uiem was «celebrated on Monday morning by [Right Reverend G. J. MacLellan assisted by Rever- 31 g‘ end Charles MacDonald, Deacon, and Reverend George Mccormac Sub-deacon. All that was mortal of 51 good neighbour, a kind friend, a generous and loving mo- ther, was tenderly laid to rest. Services at the grave were con- ducted by her devoted pastor, Reverend B. J. McDonald. Present .111 the Sanctuary were Reverend George MacDonald, Rev. Cla-re MacDonald, Rev. B. J. MacDonald, Rev. T. Butler, Rev. F. Mullally, Rev. P. O‘Han- ley. The Choir was under the dir- ection of Rev. Dennis Gallant. Mrs. MacDonald is survived by one son, Clement, in Primrose, -four da~ugh’ters.
