A ering 00w hand. prompted by desire to capture and tame the ncomparaible horse. goes to work bur -- oun wrv rhuilf-UCKY Ef-HFF! on a ranch where horses are being made ready for the market, The ranch foreman, indebted through his gamblirg losses to the owner of the towns saloon, murders the ranch owner and persuades his younger daughter to sell the horses to the gambler. Alter the horses are delivered. the other daughter discovers that her father had previously sold the horses to another buyer. Although aided by the cow hand with whom the older are unable to get the horses back. In order to avoid serious complic- ations. they decide to capture horses from the wild herd to ze- place those they unwittingly sold. Days of hard work follow for everyone on the ranch during which several hundred horses are captured and broken. The under- handed methods t of the saloon keeper to prevent the horses being ready in time present grave prob- lems. He causes the horses to ba stampeded frcm the ranch and it ls not until after Wildfire has vic- iously trampled one of the hench- men to death and the ranch hand has disposed of the gambler in a very spectacular fist right that takes place on rocky. mountainous terrain. that the horses are herded back to the ranch and delivered to their new owner just in time. Richard Arlen is excellent as the hard working. serious ranch hand who befriends the girls. Patricia Morison as the girl with whom he fails in love has opportunity to use her beautfiul voice in the picture.
