Last night, when going to bed, it is said he found a bat in one of the rooms and it is thought that the excitement of chasing it out of the honse did him harm, as it is believed he suffered with heart disease. This morning he did not come down as u-ual and the younger children, going up to wake him, found hie dead body in the bed, the mouth stained with blood. Gisineiiidedal Tue Late Cuas. E . Ropertson.—The remains of the late Councillor Charles E. Robertson, who was accidentally killed at Kensington yesterday, were brought tothe city last evening in the mail special. Hundreds were atthe station when the train arrived about 7.20 o'clock. The casket containing the remains was carried from the train to Messrs. Mark Wright & Co’s. hearse by their employes, and then ve to the city home of the deceased n Easton Street Fact, near the P. E. I. Hospital, ¢ ‘ollowed by an immense crowd of sorrowing friends and acquaintances. The streets along the route of the proces- sion were lined with people. A large number viewed the remains at the home . of the deceased. The funeral} will take place to morrow afternoon at 3 o’clock, to the Peo- le’s Cemetery. He will be buried with Masonic honors. Rev. Mr. Fullerton will conduct the service at the house and grave. The City Council, firemea and policemen wil] attend, and the funeral procession will be headed by the Citizens Band.. The casket will be carried on the Salvage C »rps wagon, which willjbe drawn by the fire department. Following will be the pall-bearers: Messrs. H. M. Davison, W. D. McKay, D.
