On Friday, Dec. 23rd, a number of the ratepayers and visitors met with the teacher alid pupils of Kelvin school on the occasioniof their semi- annual examination, conducted by the teacher, Miss Margaret Cameron. The pupils were examined in the dif- ferent studies, and acquitted them- selves creditably, each class winning the highest praise from those pre- sent. Burns, which has been running between Pictoll, Holiris, P. E. 1,, and the Magdalen Islands, arrived in port Monday from Souris, P. E. I., with cargo. The Lady Sybil will lay up here for the willter unless she is chartered to carry cargo to Bermuda or elsewhere. She is now owned by William McLure of Picton. The funeral ol the late Mrs. Jost took place on Wednesday afternoon under the direction of undertaker G. D. Wright. The service was held in Grace (lhurch and was conducted by the pastor, Rev. William Harrison. In addition to the usual service hymns “Abide With Me," "Forever With the Lord," and by special re- quest "God of my life Throuuh all my days” were sting. The interment took place at Sherwood Cemetery be- side her llusband, Rev. J. V. Jost, who was laid to rest some- twenty years ago. Mrs. Jost was the daugh- ter oi Rev. Richard Knight, and was born nt Brigllouse, Newfoundland, in 1825, and died at Jamaica Plains Dec. Ztth. Sho was a lady who was greatly beloved by all wllo had the privelege of her acquaintance. For a number of years she with the fam- ily resided in Charlottetown. In September of 1909 she removed to Boston to spend her remaining days with her son, R. K.
