trainer, narrowly escaped death when,
trying to train a leopard. It was
only after beating the brute down
with his fists that the trainer was
able to make his escape from thc
training cage.
Captain Wilson was getting ready
to put two leopards, two lions and
two Dumas through their first train-
ing stunts. The animal which at.-
tac'k`cd the trainer was the ilrst turn-
ed into the cage. It immediately
leaped at Wilson.
Attendants closed the cage doors
to keep the other animals out. ,
