She was lovctl hy all for her unselflshness and Christian virtues and all those traits of character and disposition which marks the truejwomcn. She was a consistent mem- ber of the Baptist Church and one whoso- llfe was in conformity with the teach- ings of Him to _whom her Spirit has gone. I, a severe cold that iluully settled upon her lungs and brought about a. decline In June she _came west to Kenlstino, Saskatchewan, hoping that a change of climate would restore her health. The climate, however, of that part of the country not agreeing with her the camo on in September to Nanton, where she has since resided. But the disease by that time had too powerful a grip to be broken, even by the sunny, bracing atmosphere of Southern Alberta. Gradually she sunk under his inslduous and persistentuttacks until the citadel of life itself had to capit- ulnie. I-Ier long and trying illness she bore with remarkable fortitude and oheer- fulness, and though not long ln Nanton, through hersweetness, gentleness and pati- ence, made manyifrlentis who will deeply mourn hor lose. For years she:had been it consistent, earnest Cliristilln, undhere lies the key to that wonderful resignation and strength and cheerfulness that showed in the midst of infirinity, anti in the face of death itself. It was her Chrlstnln faith that sustained her and gave her a joyful victory over death and the irrave. Besides a little child and many friends in the East, she leaves behind her a sorrowlng hus- band and a loving sister,Miss Anna Hodg- son, both of whom have been at hor side through her illness and nursed her with tcndcr, unrcmittiiig care.
