M. P. barracks. Shortly before ll a. m. yester- day Police received a call from Ha-zelbrook telling oi a car that had side swiped a. horse drawn vehicle and continued on towards Charlottetown without stopping. Two Mounted Police left immed- lately forqflillsboro Bridge and shortly after saw a car resembling a description of the one involved in the accident approaching. Hail- ed to stop the driver paid no at- tention and continued towards the city at a high rate of speed, with the police ill pursuit. At the rail- way crossing at the City end of the bridge approach the pursued car went wide of the turn and blew out the right front and rear tires on the rails. Tile police con- tinued in hot pursuit up Grafton Street and down Prince to the Police barracks where the pursued car turned into the yard.
